It is 4:44am and I wonder why I am awake, it is the time of Angels.  The Angel number sequence 444 means you have nothing to fear for Angels are all about. And so I write of my most recent encounter with the Angelic Realm…

…A few days ago I was called to see a patient who was dying.  She lay lifeless in her bed, shallow respirations, sallow complexion and balancing on the edge of transition.  I sat with her family and explained that it appeared she was dying but then I was compelled to tell them the story of my very first hospice patient some 13 years ago….this patient had been comatose for three days as the family sat vigil. Suddenly she woke up and said “I want to have a pizza party!” Shocked by this turn of events they called me and I encouraged them to embrace the moment, a rally for sure.  They ordered the pizza and sat at the table with the patient sharing a very sacred last meal.  She took three bites of her pizza and bantered back and forth with her family and then went back to bed.  The next day she passed into the realm of Spirit. My current family looked at me baffled, “So she might wake up?” they asked. I nodded that anything was possible in this journey.

The next day they called for me, she was awake! When I arrived they excitedly told me when she woke up she had shared….”I was with the Angels for two days but then decided I didn’t want to stay…” This brought the family great comfort.  I spoke to the patient and she told me the exact same thing! I wanted to know more….but she became silent and could offer nothing further. It was enough, her words brought joy into a difficult situation and the knowledge that her Angels were nearby waiting to escort her Home.
